The Owatonna Public Library (OPL) building is open for browsing and computer use by Appointment only. OPL staff are also offering No-Contact Pickup of library materials. You can pick up IRS 1040 or 1040-SR forms during No-Contact Pickup Hours.
How No-Contact Pickup of Library Materials works:
- Place requests online via the Library Catalog, or call and leave a voicemail message at 507-444-2460. Not sure exactly what to request? Fill out this form to request an OPL To-Go bag!
- OPL staff will call you when your requests are ready for pickup. On Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays you can stop by any time between 12 noon - 4:00pm. On Tuesdays & Thursdays you can stop by any time between 9:00 - 11:00am or between 4:00 - 6:00pm. Pick up your items within 7 days of receiving your phone call.
- Park your vehicle in the Broadway lot as usual, and walk to the Library entrance Do not open the door. OPL staff will use the automatic door opener to meet one person at a time at the door. Tell us your name (or tell us what tax form you want), and we will hand over the materials you have requested.
Outside Book Drop
The outside book drop is open 24/7. Return all items via the book drop (staff will not accept returns at the door). Library staff will quarantine returned materials for at least 24 hours before checking them in. OPL is currently waiving overdue fines. Only use the book drop for returning library materials; we are unable to accept donated materials at this time.
