Pay My Fine
For your convenience, parking tickets may be paid the following ways.
In Person
You may pay your fine at the Law Enforcement Center at the Parking Control Office. You may pay with cash, check or money order. Checks should be made out to the Owatonna Police Department. For your convenience a courtesy box is available through the first doors of the Law Enforcement Center and payments may be placed in this courtesy box. The courtesy box is available at all times.
By Mail

Administrative fines must be paid within 7 days. Payment can be made in the following ways.

Obtaining Fine Information
You may obtain fine information at the Minnesota Courts website. Click on access to trial records at the top of the web page, and accept the terms and conditions. Search by citation number or select Third District and click on Steele County. You may also contact the Steele County Court by calling 1-507-444-7701.
Paying Fines
Fines may be paid in the following ways. Make check or money order payable to: District Court. Please do not send cash through the mail. A charge of $30 will be assessed for all returned checks. Mail a copy of ticket/summons with your payment. Payment should be mailed or brought to:

Appearing in Court
You must appear in court if you are involved in an accident or if you wish to plead not guilty, please call the Court Administrator's office at 507-444-7701 for specific instructions. Failure to pay, appear, or contact the court on or by the court date given on your ticket may result in driver's license suspension (any state), a warrant being issued and increased fines.
