Little League Baseball

A partnership with Huskies Bullpen Club; these are developmental, skill-based, in-house programs, where all teams are split as equally as possible. Each participant receives a full uniform consisting of shirt, shorts and socks.
Level 1 (Current 2nd and 3rd graders)
Pitching machine league with emphasis on participation and development of fundamental baseball skills. Participants receive a full uniform (pants, socks, jersey and Major League Baseball cap). Uniform sizes are needed at the time of registration.
Level 2 (Current 4th graders)
Player pitch leagues intended to continue the development of fundamentals and skills of the game. All 4th grade participants receive a full uniform (pants, socks, belt, jersey and Major League Baseball cap). Uniform sizes are needed at time of registration.
Level 3 – In House Baseball (Current 5th Grade Players)

Level 3 does not travel to tournaments and all baseball is played in Owatonna during the week. Participants in 5th grade receive a uniform (jersey, pants, socks, belt and a Major League Baseball cap). Uniform sizes are needed at time of registration. This program is intended for players that choose not to participate in the U11 travel program. Depending on registrations, current 5th graders may play with or against 4th grade players.
Huskies Bullpen Club:
The Huskies Bullpen Club offers U11 Traveling Baseball - Recommended for all 5th graders and Minor League Traveling Teams—U12, U13, U14 and U15. For more information regarding the Huskies Bullpen Club visit their website at: www.owatonnabaseball.com.
Volunteer coaches needed!
The Park and Recreation Department utilizes volunteer coaches for many of the youth programs the department offers. Volunteer coaches are a key ingredient in the offering of these youth programs. This includes training in psychology and philosophy of youth sports, first aid, and teaching skill techniques for the various activities. Please call the Park and Recreation office if interested at 507-444-4321. All volunteer coaches must fill out a background chech on a yearly basis.
