Our popular Movies at the Library event is back! Join us the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM for a movie in the Gainey Room. These film showings are open to adults. (No 4th Thursday showings in November or December).
Please note that there will no longer be a 7:00 PM showing on Thursdays.

"Owatonna Reads" is a community reading program centered around Michael Perry's book Population: 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time. It's a memoir by a real-life prodigal son who, after a twelve-year absence, returns to his hometown of New Auburn, Wisconsin (population, 485) and joins the volunteer fire and rescue department. Join us for the finale of the Owatonna Reads program, a visit with author Michael Perry. Others in the 2018 Fall Author Series: Chad Lewis (Bizarre History of Minnesota) at 6:30 p.m. on 9/11, Barry Adams (Steele County in the Civil War) at 6:30 p.m. on 10/2, Curt Brown (Minnesota 1918) at 6:30 p.m. on 10/9.

The Park Passport program is an initiative of the City of Owatonna Parks and Recreation Department to promote healthy lifestyle choices. The program encourages families to explore our parks and exercise by walking the mapped trails. The four-week program is FREE and all access to the parks is FREE!
